In the very earliest stages, we may be able to treat cavities with a topical silver diamine fluoride treatment.
Sensitive Teeth
Appropriate care for sensitive teeth will depend on the cause and severity of your discomfort. In addition to stopping tooth decay, silver diamine fluoride treatments can also desensitize teeth. Other treatments may include crowns, root canal therapy, and dental bonding. If gum disease is responsible for your dental sensitivity, a deep cleaning may be appropriate.

Most often, bleeding gums are due to periodontal disease. Drs. Sigurdson and Patel can evaluate for gum disease and provide appropriate treatment, typically consisting of a deep cleaning. Bleeding is often one of the earliest signs of gum disease, appearing when the condition is still reversible. For this reason, it is important to seek treatment as soon as you notice this symptom.
Chipped or Cracked Teeth
A chipped or cracked tooth may be a dental emergency, depending on the extent of the injury. We offer emergency instructions to help minimize damage before you come to the office. Crowns, root canal therapy, and, as a last resort, extraction may be appropriate. In other cases, chips may be merely a cosmetic concern. In these instances, we may suggest dental bonding or porcelain veneers.
Discolored Teeth
Our teeth whitening can be a good option for standard external stains, resulting from food, drink, and environmental factors. We offer both in-office and take-home options, so you can choose the whitening method that fits your schedule and budget. If you have darker, internal stains, porcelain veneers can cover up discoloration for a dramatic change.
